Last weekend, Holmen Snowboards, together with the local sports club and the hiking association, hosted an open winter day in Osen. With more than 50 people attending throughout the day, it became a great celebration of winter, community, and outdoor activity.

The event welcomed people of all ages, and there was something for everyone. Some came to ride snowboards, others enjoyed cross-country skiing, while many simply stopped by to spend time outside and enjoy the atmosphere. The grill was fired up, sausages were served, and the mood stayed relaxed and social throughout the day.

A special feature of the day was the banked slalom course built by Kristian. During the event, Kristian and Lotte took a few runs on the course to test it out and see how it flowed through the terrain.

The course winds naturally through the landscape with smooth berms and flowing turns, and the test runs showed great potential for future sessions and events.

During the day, several visitors also stopped by to have a look inside the Holmen Snowboards workshop. It gave people a chance to see where the boards are made and learn more about the craftsmanship and process behind building snowboards locally.

For many, it was exciting to get a closer look at the production and talk with the team about snowboard design and construction.

The goal of the day was simply to bring people together around winter activities and create a welcoming space for both experienced riders and newcomers.

With more than 50 people joining throughout the day, plenty of smiles around the grill, cross-country tracks being used, and visitors exploring the workshop, the winter day in Osen turned out exactly as hoped — a social day in the snow where people could ride, ski, and enjoy winter together.
