We have moved!!
This summer has been one of the most exciting and challenging periods in Holmen Snowboards’ story so far. After years in Tomter, we’ve officially packed up our tools, molds, and presses, and moved north to Osen Skogskole — a beautiful place that will now be home to our new production facility.
For those who haven’t been there, Osen is a truly unique location. The area sits close to the beach, surrounded by pine forest, with a hotel, bar, and restaurant right on site. It’s a quiet, inspiring setting — perfect for creating boards that reflect both craftsmanship and nature. Even better, it’s close to where both Kristian and Esten grew up. Moving back here feels a bit like coming full circle — back to our roots, but with everything we’ve learned along the way.
Since the move, our summer has been all about construction, setup, and long days of problem-solving. Bit by bit, the new workshop has started to take shape. It’s bigger, more efficient, and designed specifically for what we do — building high-quality snowboards by hand. The plan is to expand the facility even further in the future, but for now, we finally have the space and setup we’ve been dreaming of for years.
One of the biggest milestones has been getting our new press up and running. The press is the heart of our production — it’s what gives each Holmen board its final form. Kristian has spent countless hours fine-tuning and testing every detail to make sure it performs perfectly. After weeks of adjustments and a few setbacks along the way, the new press is finally ready to do its job.
The move to Osen isn’t just about a new building — it’s about taking Holmen Snowboards into its next chapter. With a better workspace, more room to experiment, and a location that inspires creativity, we’re ready to push our craftsmanship even further.
We can’t wait to share what’s next. The first boards from the new facility are on the way, and we’re more motivated than ever. Thanks to everyone who’s been following our journey — we’re just getting started.
